My Story

Life is full of twists and turns that we cannot predict, but what I have learned through my experiences is that life is truly a gift from God.  Life is not always easy or even bearable at times but the feeling of hope that the next day will be filled with greatness is enough to continue to fight to live.  My name is Kelly and I AM a Cancer Survivor!  At age 24, I was diagnosed with Primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma (PMBCL), which is a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). This diagnosis took my life in a completely different path than the one I had planned for myself.  My plans were to determine my career path but life had other plans for me.  Instead, I began my journey down an unfamiliar path without a clear direction in sight.

Welcome to my personal journey of being a Cancer Survivor.  I hope that by sharing my journey, I can help other cancer patients, caregivers and their families know that you are not alone, there is a whole community of people.  I hope that this blog helps bring people together as we try to overcome battles and enjoy the gift of life.
