Sedentary

In the past few months, I spend a great deal of time sitting.  When I was at the hospital visiting my dad, I was sitting in the waiting area, sitting in his room or sitting at the hospital cafeteria.  When I was at work, I was sitting at my desk all day.  When I was at home, I was exhausted from lack of sleep due to juggling a full-time job and being in the hospital with my dad; therefore, I would sit on the couch or go to bed to try to get some sleep.  Needless to say, I think you get the idea of how sedentary I was during these past few months.  Now that my dad seems to be improving every day and has full time care at the clinic, I have decided it’s time for me to start taking better care of myself.  As I am writing, this blog my sore muscles are reminding me of how long it had been since I last worked out or did anything for my own self-care.  As part of my self-care plan, I have started exercising once again.  I have set my goals and I am keeping track of my activity on a calendar. This will aid in keeping me accountable of my progress and I am also able to visually see my progress.  Doing all this allows me to keep moving forward in the right direction for my health, literally one step at a time.

Great to hear your father is getting better and that you are going to work out regularly. You have to take care of yourself, too. Still praying. My husband is having hernia surgery in a week. I am terrified but I am praying. Really glad about your father and youβ£οΈβ£οΈβ£οΈπŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ

Thank you so much Ellen. I have continued to pray for you and your husband daily. I understand your fear all too well. We just need to keep having positive thoughts and doing lots of prayers. We need to remember that God is always with us, especially during the toughest times in our lives.

Sending you lots of love, virtual hugs, positive thoughts and prayers. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β€β€πŸ€—πŸ€—
