Recently, in the city where I live, there was an issue with a major water pipe which caused for very low water pressure or even no water for some residents. In turn this also caused for a boil water notice for the entire city to be able to use the water for daily needs. Of course, this is not the first time I experienced low water pressure water or even no water at certain times of the day. It seems that in recent years external factors like a severe winter storm have affected not only our city but our entire state water system among other essential things.
Every time this happens it makes me realize how we all take having good running water for granted and that it is essential for our daily lives. We need water to shower/bathe, wash our clothes, clean the dishes, water the lawn, cooking and the most important of all to stay hydrated. Thank God, I was able to purchase sufficient bottled water to use on the days that we were without water. For a couple of days, I had to take sponge baths which reminded me of certain days during my cancer battle when I could not take a full shower or bath. This also reminded me how my oncologist would constantly tell me to make sure that I would drink at least 10 glasses of water per day due to the chemo treatment. Well, honestly, he wanted me to drink more than 10 glasses of water because he knew that I would end up vomiting part of that water throughout the day which happened every day that I was receiving chemo. Water was essential and necessary for my body to recover during my chemo treatment.
If we stop to think about it, water is an essential part of life. Every living person or thing needs water to survive. Drinking sufficient amount of water in a hot summer day aids your body to stay cool and hydrated. Also drinking sufficient water can be instrumental in some instances to flush out certain toxins in your body or even bacterial/viral infections that your body might be fighting off. Of course, with so many types of different drink options available, to us nowadays, it’s easy to overlook the simplest one of all which is water. Honestly, I am a huge fan of most of the diffrent drink options out there but I also need to make sure that I drink enough plain old water to stay hydrated. Water keeps our bodies and our brain functioning properly. Please remember to always stay hydrated.

Good reading. Me, personally? I have a love/hate relationship with water. But, as you advise, I do try to drink a reasonable bit of the stuff every day.
