As all of you may know this past Sunday was Mother’s Day in the U.S. Celebrations of all sizes occurred on this very special day, but have you ever stopped to think what does it mean to be a mother? Well, for me unfortunately, I will never get to experience the wonderful miracle of giving life to another human being and become a mother myself but based on my experience with my own mother here is what I think being a mother means.
A mother’s heart encourages, inspires, and invests in the lives of the people around them. The heart of a mother is one that nurtures and influences people with love and tenderness. With every prayer, every hug, every encouraging word, and every tear, a mother is making a difference and impacting future generations. There’s nothing on earth like the treasure of a mother’s heart.
Mom, for all your love and kindness, for all your tender care, for a all the joy that you brought, just knowing you were there, for all of this and so much more. Thank you for everything!! A special thank you for being my guardian angel and main caregiver during my cancer battle. Thank you for putting your life on pause to care for me during my most challenging times. With the grace of God, I am alive today with so much attributed to the care you provided me. Each day is a blessing and I thank you for all your sacrifices. Your unconditional and bountiful love is forever imprinted in me. On this earth, I was blessed to have you as a mother and now heaven has the pleasure of your presence. Love you mom!
Special tribute to all the mothers in the world, thank you for all you do!!

The following line real jumped out to me “A mother’s heart encourages, inspires, and invests in the lives of the people around them.” I believe, an aunt, God mother, or friends’ heart can hold the same type of emotions for a child. I know mine does.

Hi thank you so much for your feedback. I really appreciate it.
I agree 100% it doesn’t need to be a mother, or even a relative it can be anyone who forms or shares that level of emotional, or spiritual bond with one another.
