Self-care continues to be my main focus. Indulging in a favorite ice cream, having a glass of wine/mixed drink, or simply relaxing in front of the television and not doing anything are excellent examples of short-term instant gratification. Although, these are a nice way to pamper yourself once in a while, one must also set other ways to take care of ourselves. Self-care is also about staying disciplined, holding yourself accountable, setting healthy boundaries and prioritizing long term goals. As a cancer survivor, I try to reduce my stress levels which takes discipline because work and personal matters tend to disrupt my tranquility. I have to remind myself that I am not wonder woman (even though I beat a rare type of cancer) and have to hold myself accountable for everything I do. I need to be mindful of my limits and set boundaries for myself to prevent exhaustion and mental fatigue. In addition, I have to prioritize my long-term goal that is to try to live a happy, healthy and fulfilled life for as long as I am alive.

#HappyLife

How true this for everyone but especially for you. I am very happy you do these very important things. Kelly, how is your father doing? And how are you doing? Sending love ❤️ and prayers. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽Ellen
